Does anyone know with certainty if the centerboard trunk on the Gemini 3000 and the 3200 are in the same fore and aft location. The reason i ask is that the mast of the 3000 is stepped aft of the main strength bulkhead on a compression post while the 3200 has a taller double spreader rig stepped on the b/head. I was recently reading a boat test of the Aristocat 30 which is the same boat and note that it has the mast in the same location as the 3200with the inboard chainplates, so it appears that when Tony Smith built it as the first gen Gemini he moved the rig aft for some reason and then moved it foreward again when he revamped it as the 3200. Ive never sailed one but am buying a 3000 and am wondering if it didnt balance right with the rig aft and the boards in the same location as the Aristocat.

    Steve.
