| Gonzo you don’t get it do you, nit picking, harping criticism and personal attacks very quickly erodes trust in a persons opinion. |

| Ruminame, You just have been a victim what could be called a culture difference. You approached people on this forum with various expertise and experience, from members being here since inception of this forum to newbies like me, which came here to learn totally from scratch. Based on my experience from another highly technical forum, you lacked proper introduction such as who you are, what project you're working on, and what's the purpose of your question (not building a boat, but submitting the paper for your school, in your case it makes huge difference getting right response). My advice to you or anyone new is, introduce yourselve, define the problem and the purpose of your question. It helps a lot! I got my share of similar responses long time ago as well. To rest of existing senior, junior or new member here, hello everyone, I'm new here, I never sailed, but I want to start and in 10-15 years from now, I want to build a boat I design. Peter. |

| I am asking for a set of lines. Do they exist?

If I were your lecturer I could have made an exercise just like that to see if the studends could find out where the most loaded areas of the trimaran are and how to design a framing structure against them. I don't think the dimensioning was any point here. Was there any aims or even learning outcomes defined for your exercise or the unit? I would have put it something like this: After this unit (exercise) a studend is able to recognise the most loaded areas of the trimaran and design a framing to withstand these loads. If there was anything like that "in the air" your lecturer is pro and the uni OK. I couldn't answer earlier, since it was your job to solve it. Happy studying.

| It is very hard to see. The definition is so poor that I can't enlarge the drawing to see the separate lines.

| Not to many people put line plans up and if they do even fewer post them in an accurate medium. Would you? have you ? I assume the request for lines was some kind of proof, now your asking for the smoking gun! |

When I saw your reply to the demand to see your linesplan I was wondering what the heck you were doing. Surely you recognized there would be nothing useful gained by showing it? Yes, you understood and did the right thing. |

| Ruminame I see you are moving along on your concept design project. I have seen the renders in your gallery. A good interesting start. |

| No one can answer a question about structural details without a fairly detailed lines plan.

| I think he only ever wanted a general global view to get some ideas for his design which MikeJohns in post 14 helpfully supplied. I am not sure why you would want to do structural details other than in very broad terms in the concept stage. |
