Thanks Manfred,

It made me find the owner's report (1 Dec. '09) of the incident on the DF-Tri users forum. Post Tue 08 Dec 09, 12:13 on that thread has the link to the original report of Jens Quorning in PDF.

In the months after the incident (Oct. Nov. 2009) I looked several times on the Dragonfly manufacturer's website and on that DF-forum* for the cause of the failure.
* (there was this thread which ended on 6 Nov. '09 without knowing the cause)

Quote from the manufacturer's report:

Obviously, we are very sad at Quorning Boats to see things like this happen, where the boat quickly gets blamed for the damage, ....
Not on this thread . .

Cheers,
Angel

Since I have heard the first time of Multihulls things like this happen and this is a sad disappointment with Cats and Trimarans. To be an Aka Angel is a perfect profession in the world of Multihulls.

Ah... a Farrier proa... clever design... it carries a spare ama... and those starboard hiking boards seems to be a perfect fit to double as spares for the port aka's... nothing can happen to this boat . .

Is there a link to the story..?

Cheers,
Angel

Well, at least a "loyal customer"

a translated sentence from the video

‘‘ .... salient detail is that this boat also was salvaged two years ago by the same salvage company when she had a broken mast .... ’’

Cheers,
