| Eco 7 cat design?? Has anyone built this boat? Seen one around? I'm looking for a fairly fast yet easily managable cat to cruise in the San Juans (WA). Any comments on the relative merits of this design would be greatly appreciated. I also have a wife and 3yr, 6yr old who would be on the boat as well. | I haven't any direct info on the design, but I will say that I have a high opinion of Bernd Kohler, the designer. When I was designing my little open cruising cat, he went out of his way to be helpful to me, even though I was not a customer. Many boats of his design have been built, and as far as I can tell, their owners are well-satisfied. I would advise you to contact Bernd and ask him if any examples of the boat have been completed. If so, I think he would be willing to put you into contact with the owners. |
