Same Problem

I have tried contacting Jeff numerous times to know avail. If I reach him I'll let you know, please do the same with me. I considererd mailing something general delivery but do not know where to send it. Does anyone have his address?

One other possiblity is that on the Cross website above the list of plan availabilities is a comment on the top of the page that payments can be made through PayPal. I was thinking of sending a small amount of funds through that system and it may trigger something to get someone to respond , inquiring what the funds were for.

The only ideas I have.

Pat

Hi Pat, I was communicating with Jeff a few months ago and he sent me study plans. I had some minor issues regarding the 36 R and at that time had not confirmed my workshop. The other day I stumbled over some 12metre study plans of a hard chine ply trimaran by Norman Cross. Simple and elegant I was sold on the design and would really like plans asap as my circumstance, workshop / tenure future guaranteed. I have even started making half models from the plans. I checked if the Moderator of boat design can send a message to his boatdesign name jetcross18. I hope he is ok. He lives in Huntington beach and sails his 18' cross tri, maybee someone knows him through the local boating community.Any ideas? Mike Leneman is about the most informed trimaran guy in southern Ca. Maybe I should contact him.

Hi guys,

Jeff just may be out sailing on blue water, has no sat phone and can not interact with you until he is at a location where it is feasible. I kinda like the idea of lollygagging in a quiet lagoon somewhere, far from the maddening crowd.

He can also be sick and tired of the whole thing... though I hope not.

I'm guessing that there are enough smoke signals in the air now that should he be available, he will make his presence known.

An email to Mike is not such a bad idea, though. He has friends who, no doubt, know Jeff and can say what is happening.

Sorry Pat, a longshot. Jeff has a posting name of jetcross18 on this forum but no contact. Maybe someone can recognise the marina where his Cross 18 is tied up at in the website photo, could it be South Western Yacht Club?

In the past, Paul B, a regular poster on this forum, has indicated that he knows the boat and that the picture was taken at, or near, his home yacht club in SoCal. You may wish to send him a private message, or email, to discover if he has any relevant info as to the location of Jeff Turner and how to reach him.

I just saw Jeff at the club. He had a problem with identity theft last year so he has not had access to his website e-mail accounts. He hopes it will all be sorted out in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

So anyone looking for him, try the Cross website in the next few weeks.
