comparison of old trimarans?

    You would if you sailed in a small Searunner on a wet choppy day. You had to keep the hatch and slides to the aft cabin shut all the time if you wanted to keep the aft cabin dry. Thats why a wind shield or folding top, as shown in
    jamez's picture is appropriate. I speak from first hand experience. :eek:

    Jim Brown has neat videos showing Searunner features on outrig.org including his awning/dodger combo and fast hatch covers. Careful with the mast steps though. If you lose grip of the mast they look painful to swing into on the bosun chair. I use a 5-1 tackle and ascender combo and skip the windage.
