| Catbalu 60' catamaran refit... I'm helping a friend refit a boat named Catbalu. He acquired the boat this spring and we have been working on her since the 4th of July. Here is a link to see some pictures. http://picasaweb.google.com/jeffecam...eat=directlink |

| As I indicated I like the boat. How about some more pictures, and some on how and what you did there. It can help someone else that wants to attempt something similar.

| Hi Jeff, Not sure if you've been in touch with Wayne Iwamoto, but he knows all about the boat and knows some of the history of the mods done by Gold Coast Catamarans. I think they did the wingmast and blunted the stems to lengthen the waterline. Vince Bartolone (C/S/K Catamarans) was the designer and Gil's obviously built her. One question... what did you all do about the engine leg? It was in pretty rough shape last time I saw her.... All the best! |

| So we just got our new Raymarine E120, and a new Raymarine 218 VHF radio. Any suggestions on what style VHF antenna to use? I'm also looking for charts if anyone would like to donate something to the cause..... |

| Hello, I have been archiving documents on projects that were built at Gil's Catamarans and recently came across some documents for Catbalu. If interested in copies - please send me an address where I may forward. Thanks Susan Iwamoto (Wayne's wife)

| We yook the boat out for a cruise today. Motored out at about 7 knots. Raised the jib and the main. There was only about 6 knots of wind so we weren't to fast, but sailed at about 4 knots. We're going back out tomorrow..... |

| We're trying to get out of here Saturday, still waiting on some things to be delivered, and we have to finish provisioning. We'll definitely be out of here by the end of the weekend. We're gonna go across to Sandy Hook top off our tanks and then head out. Weather looks decent for the next few days. Come check her out if your in the neighborhood... |

| We ended up leaving Brooklyn on Dec. 5th. We sailed down to Beaufort, NC. Stopped for some bad weather. Then we sailed on down to St. Augustine, Fl. We stopped there for some more bad weather. Then we came here to Palm Beach. We arrived here just before Christmas. We are trying to leave here sometime this next week.... |
