    You need to be careful that you don't forget the shear loads that the raft/bridging structure must carry too, not just tensile/compressive loads.

    Thanks AH. I will consider that as the spreadsheet progresses. Mast load, distributed loads, concentrated loads, ect. I will also consider the direction of the stresses as it seems to redistribute in directions as soon as loads are applied. This is where composite is at its best. Aligning the fibers to the direction of the stress.
