| CAD Free download Im looking for a free down load CAD, just a simple, no frills, easy to use system to draw some mechanical applications maybe 2&3D. Any suggestions?? Thanks |

| Google apps I should point out that Sketchup (and all other Google apps) require installation of a software-update application that will always be running as a background process on your computer. Many people (including me) choose not to run any Google apps for this reason, but it may not matter to you. |

| Thanks Guys, The presentation for my catamaran steering system requires a schematic drawing that is easy to decipher so just a basic non cluttered image is what I'm after. ![]() |

| I use Vectorworks Architect at work, which uses nerbs to draw hull shapes quite nicely. Can do mechanical layouts with animations to check sweep paths etc. But it can't do all the flow and drag stuff like Solidworks (jealous). The latest versions cost a few bucks, but many architects and building designers would have old versions that still do that stuff quite simply. If you were any closer to Sydney I could give you my old version... |
