I think it's within a day's drive to there and back for Bruce, just don't know if he wants a third Buc in his collection . .

Just brought it to attention of a fellow forum member over there, maybe he'll send a report over here . . ? ?

extra Bucs

You're right, it is about a nine hour drive for me, but I sent a inquiry and did not get a response. I don't NEED a third Buc anyway but I always have thought there must be a "missing" 28 somewhere down in Florida, that must be the one. I hope someone gets it and revives it.
On a better note, I have found the third fiberglass B-33 that OS built along with mine. (hull #18, mine is #17) It is "sort" of for sale in Canada by an owner that has had it since about 1990. It sounds as if it needs some deck work, but is in decent condition and is regularly sailed. I talked with him and got some interesting history about mine as he knew the original owners. He also has his plans but they are pretty fragile and might not be good enough to copy, but he is going to try. I assume they would be the redrawn ones for the glass version.
My boat is close to ready to launch, but I have been very busy with other things and haven't had the time to organize for launching.

I just saw that Sarasota Buccaneer 28 relisted --- this time as a 24' boat

At least it looked like that same boat (pics) and the same text in the advert.

Yes it's the same boat, and also the exact same link, so the ad is updated now with a lot more pictures, eleven now, and the length is downgraded from 28' to 24' which looks to be correct from the updated pictures...
Strange the advertiser didn't respond to Bruce's inquiry for it . .

The wife and I spent 4 days driving through three torrential thunderstorms to get that boat. It was worth it. All the wood parts are trash, but the hard parts are all good and will cut considerable time from my build. The trailer is in nice shape also. As rotten as all the wood is, I was surprised to hear it was cruising the bahamas for a couple of years. I guess the boat was built in Wisconsin. Must be an older build because it has the Mark ! cabin on it. The boat is totally unrestorable so I don't feel bad about using it for parts.
