I'm using WEST resin, and their various concoctions of glue and filler additives etc. I used International 9000 on the previous (wharram) project but wouldn't again, found it irritating.

A little progress. We have just weathered a week long storm with unrelenting winds with gusts to near 60 knots in the Waitemata and 70 in the Gulf ... friends and my boats have been damaged so I've been doing repairs instead of working on Sid.

Hi Gary, I hope you make plans for this available. I would build one like this in Brasil.

Not much to see, but here you are. The J foils need more carbon.

Gary, is the lifting part of the foil horizontal when it is being used? If not, I'm curious about the theory on the angle-assuming the trunks are approx. 90 degrees to the water? Great looking work.

No Doug, I've changed my mind again, the J's will be angled in 10-15 degrees through the floats so when sailing the bottom of the curved sections on the leeward foil will be horizontal to the water surface ... but a metre or so immersed of course. Also there will be a slight angle out with the float/beam attachment (more than in this sketch) and the foils will be angled in with the exit on the inner side of the float.
Have also been frightening myself by drawing out full size a three element wing - big question: how to easily reduce its enormous size while on board?? Probably settle for a large chord wing mast/soft sail instead.
