I am... although in honeycomb/glass/epoxy. Of course it will be a very small fraction of the cost.

Is the center cockpit more prone to collecting spray or just less able to dispense with it?

Gooday all. 7* here in the topics of OZ - burrrrr.

Corley - what do we know about 'Warren' & about the 'Warren 27' tri. He doesn't give ou much info. Anyone out there built one, got one, sailed on one - - or is there just one of these nice looking boats. Far to limited for me but would be nice to sail one & see if it could be made a tad bigger (2 single berths & a bit of - off-shore work) Any body out there got some in-put, Please. Ciao, james

Ted's 27 footer is really only a daysailing raceboat the original had room for a porta potti in the main hull and that was about it. He mentioned that when he raced against the French Formula 28 champion he won easily with his own boat.

You would probably have to look at the Warren 32 for any cruising a bit bigger but much more suitable I really like his lightweight easily driven philosophy.

There was a Warren 23 built in WA/Perth not sure how it went but someone might know of the boat? Ted built a Warren 27 for his own use he is accessible by email and willing to have a chat about his designs.

I really like the Kurt Hughes 24.
That said, I am disappointed that no one mentioned the Buccaneer 24.
An honest three berth, demountable trimaran, with a proven record.

looks like an interesting range of boats coming up now that we know the intention of the thread, may be that's why the buccaneer 24 was not mentioned earlier.

I think if we try to build this thread with sailing tris between 21 and 30' it could become quite a reference for all of us down the line. I appreciate every contribution-production, homebuilt, high performance and or cruisers.

A interesting Malcolm Tenant design would be his Fire Bird trimaran.
It looks like he may have used a great barrier express hull for the main hull and wild thing influences withe float shape positioning. Some one may be able to clear up the main hull aspect, because it is very narrow for its size.
