It looks Dutch to me and with a steadying sail as opposed to a motor-sailing rig.

Can't see enough of it to tell much of anything, though it does appear to have a ketch rig.

Yes, it has a Ketch rig but unfortunately I don't have others pics. Do You Know a builder or a designer who could be quite specialized in this sort of motorsailer?
My goal is to commission someone something similar but smaller and more manageable by a small crew.

Motor Sailers

I thought it might have been this Feadship one, but a little different:

You might find some of these interesting:

Perhaps you should send a message to this gentleman (Guillermo Gefaell) ...he has written extensively on the subject and is in Europe:

I tend to agree with this analysis.

If you truly want to consider the 'sailing and/or wind' portion of propulsion of a motorsailer perhaps you might have a look thru a few of these discussions.

Thanks a lot.
I was looking for a new Nauticat 33.1. What do You think about she? Much smaller than the boat in the photo above, I know... I no longer bought the 33.1, because I was afraid of making a mistake. The truth is that I like so much the trawlers, but also sailboat. So, I'm dreaming to sail one similar that above but smaller. I just have to find a good designer and a builder too!
Ciao.

Philip Rhodes designed some boats like this
or Napiers of Arbroath could design you one,
if you want it in wood ,I can design and build it for you,
I have been a British Government Wooden Boatbuilder, Sea Fish Industry Authority Approved since 1990,
though I have no design accreditation

...but if i was serious about performance under both sail and power I'd have to consider a more modern technology...somewhat regretably

Most of the owners are quite happy with their Diesel Ducks. And probably as good a value for your money as any similar size NEW vessel out there....certainly less than starting on a new design and custom build.

I did not found the official Philip Rhodes website. Could You help me?
... You are very kind to propose to design my boat. I'd like to see some of your work. Is it possible?
Concerning the wood, please take a look to: http://www.cantierealtoadriatico.it/...p?A=2007&ID=49 - They use an innovative construction method, very interesting!
Ciao.

Ciao.
They do some very NICE wood work, but I don't see it as really innovative

Here is an innovative wood construction I posted a few years ago

This is an interesting twist to wooden boatbuilding and repairing.
