Thanks again for all the advice

Thanks again Richard, and all the rest of you for sound a wise advice.
I'm finally on the right track to sailing with my Pandora lined up for the spring and a mirror dinghy to practise in over the winter and the old restoration project is safely to one side to be either worked on or salvaged in the future.

Many thanks for the warm welcome to the site and forum.

I have no doubt I'll continue to plague you all with silly questions but for now thanks

Andy

Don't know if anyone's interested by the way........

Just thought i'd also let you all know,
I'm a musician and composer by trade and whilst searching the web for saling related stuff I came across a guy who's doing a circumnavigation of the UK in a 19ft boat and is making some absolutely brilliant films along the way.

His website is www.keepturningleft.co.uk

I'm in talks with him about composing some original music for him to use to save costs on his film making, but whether he uses my music or not you should take a look at his films, they're beautifully made and a joy to watch.

You can also find quite a lot of the footage on youtube but if you sign up through his site you get all the films at full quality.
