All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, will never be said of me. As some know, I am restoring a a 91 year old small ship named La Creole. I also have a beautiful little motorsailor named Seaweed. The hull is double planked Port Orford cedar with oak frames, and from the deck up, teak salvaged from the bridge of the US battleship, Missouri, BB-11, I have spent the last 5 years getting her seaworthy. She does quite well on San Francisco bay, as she was built for its conditions. I get her out there at least once a week, plus little "fresh air inspections" on the Oakland Estuary, which flows abaft my back yard. The video is of me returning home from a cigar cruise, a few hours long, after a hard day at the office.
