What If Scenario

Following up on the cement ballast in steel hull thread.
Would there be any additional protection against a hull breach in the case of grounding? Just thinking of how much more difficult it is to put a hole in a tin can full of cement versus an empty one.

Yes significant
Adds around 80 % to the overall structural strength of the concrete filled portion.
