we do mix metres with mm, diff is its auto in your head
even a grade 5 kid can convert tens and 100,s in his head
Until you start going metric you will not see the ease like pounds shillings and pence, 1.2 crowns, farthings and guiness and halfpence that WAS the Brit currancy until metrication, to teach a kid that now, would be difficult as well as pointless, same with imp measure

This was done in a program that reads the lofting data automatically, so what ever is there in the offset charts you get in 3D. The frames are approx. 24" apart. Here it is up to frame 59, another 18 to go.

So this is approximately a 158 foot long vessel?

That’s a big boat to be learning lofting on. But I see now why all the stations, they may be needed for a build. A lot less would be needed for a digital model.

Yeah, I am doing my model as if I were to build it. I saw this tug actually being built, its 150' x 46' x 27' I wish I would have took some pictures of it. Its a stout hunk of steel to say the least.
