I have finished my project

Hi all
The past 22 months I have been building a 6,6m. aluminium boat for fishing. Last Saturday she had water under the keel for the first time, what a thrill!
Here is a small video clip from the test run.

For inspiration to other newbies here are a lot of pictures from the process

Thanks to all on this forum, it has been a great place to find answers!

Congratulations, and thank you for posting the photo gallery. I enjoyed going through it, even though I'm not a metalworker.

well done mate-looks good! Your fabrication skills look to be spot on!

something odd I noticed though-the foredeck has that coaming around it that directs every bit of water that lands on it down the side of the cabin and straight into the cockpit, theres no where else for it to go?

Thanks, its nice to know you like it!

@ Robbo
Your observation is correct, but no worries ;-).. as a fisher I'm not afraid of water and the cockpit deck is self-bailing (approx. 5 inch above the waterline)

Great job - thanks very much for posting this thread too! The photos and the video are great. And it feels great to see your project come to fruition with such a nice result. (I wish we had more build threads on the forum as it's wonderful to see someone's project come to life.)

Congratulations!
