Aluminum Flat Bottom

Directional control with a flat bottomed skiff is poor unless you add some kind of strakes or a keel to the bottom. Keep in mind that the higher the speed you're looking at, the more of an impact small strakes will have. If this is a low speed craft, you may find you need a keel. There are many different approaches you can take.

You best bet would be to contact a boat manufacture, they get material in rolls at different widths, but before you do that , you need to find a place that has a brake and shear large enough to bend and cut a piece of material the size your wanting to manipulate,
