| Collision Bulkhead New Euro regulations require a collision bulkhead to be retrofitted to my 21 x 4 meter rivetted steel motor tjalk. Has anyone experience of this difficult job ? I propose to fit 50mm T section uprights to the 50 mm angle iron framing with steel plates bolted between. what thickness of plate minimum ---- 2mm ? very small working space, only 4 x 1 x 1.4 meters high and only 500 mm diameter overhead access hatch Any info and advice weklcomed. archie B  |

| You will need to either design this bulkhead to Bureau Veritas or ISO. The plate thickness will depend on the bulkhead height and the sizing and spacing of the stiffening members. Bulkhead design is well described in the class rules.
