Aluminum St. Pierre Dory?

I come from a long line of New England Dorymen and have been around Banks Dories pretty much all my life. My recently deceased Dad and I always had a dream of building a 26' St. Pierre Dory and doing some commercial bottom fishing. Has anyone ever built a St. Pierre Dory out of aluminum. My dream boat is still a St. Pierre in aluminum with a small cutty cabin to keep dry from the rains with built in fish boxes, powered by a 25hp. 4 stroke outboard (Tohatsu) in a well. This would be mainly pleasure fishing after retirement.
