Good one Gilbert, everyone needs encouragement eh .
interesting to note no posts from Alain since his huge effort was rubbished !! [ I'm sure it wasn't intentional, just thoughtless !! ]
Hopefully Alain will visit again to see "we" arn't all as critical.
But I rather suspect, from looking at his web site, that he's far to busy enjoing the fruit of his long hard labour.

Perfectly Right Globaldude.. I've been sailing with "HYLAS" for 13 years.. but, since last year, I've sold the boat and I'm visiting South American (inland) with a 4x4 camping car.. Another story!..

But I'm still in contact with the sailing familly..
- Promoting our range of anchors - Spade - Sword - Skrew.. (www.spade-anchor.com)
- working on the English translation of my book "Tout savoir sur le Mouillage"

I was very pleased to have the opportunity to show the work I did when building "Hylas" to encourage those who are planning to start such a huge work..

It is possible.. we have done it!:0)

Alain are you still checking in here from time to time ?. I somehow found a link to your photos of boats and subs etc and had long forgotten your name [ sorry ] but I thought ," wow this guy likes all the sort of things I like !".
To my surprise, when I looked at some of your posts, I had commented to you regarding your fine 10 year effort . I see you are going overland on a 4x4 camper !. I have built several campers - RV's - whatever you call them - and have managed to live and drive right around Austrailia and more recently the islands of Japan in different campers .
Id like to email you from time to time jsut because I feel we have quite a lot in common . Perhaps send you some pics of the [ too many ] projects I have on at the moment .
I hope you [and yours ?] are having a safe and enjoyable time wherever you are .
