| Wood source I've been bitten by the boat building bug. I've started looking at various plans, and drawing up a budget. The first hurdle I've run into is finding marine grade plywood. None of the lumber yards or big box home improvement stores have any, and the few internet sites I've looked out charge as much for shipping as they do for the wood. The websites also seem set up for bigger orders, the biggest boat I'm looking at calls for only 5 sheets. So, does anyone know of a place to get marine ply near Chicago? Or an internet site with reasonable shipping rates and ability to handle small orders? Thanks for the help! |

| It is possible that the sales tax and higher prices from a chicagoland dealer will be more than shipping charges. http://www.noahsmarine.com/United_St...ywoods-us.html http://alliedveneer.com/marine_plywo...8-p-16135.html I bought from allied. they cut me a great deal. It was several sheets more than your order. |
