What is this composite material transom

Can anyone identify this transom core 1992 1994 scout

It's foam, though I'm not sure if it's polyethylene or polyurethane without further research.

Whatever it is, it doesn't look to be in particularly good shape, apparently having absorbed some water. And it doesn't look like anything I'd want to find in a transom....

Burn it*, if it smells like a blown out wax candle, it is PE, if it stinks chemical it should be PU.

PS * a piece of it! Not the transom! That would give a falsified test result.

From that yuear it could be Temanto, it was red then in about that weight (density).
