Waxing over semi-perm release agents

I tried this recently and it worked well. Sealer, semi-perm release. 2 coats of say Mirrorglaze or Oscars mould release wax. Normal waxing schedule.

It seems to work well, for pieces that need a waxy surface for whatever reason. Wax is cheaper as well & in places more robust. I'd be really interested to know if anyone else has followed this through to any conclusion.
