Vinyl Top Restoration

The cabin top on my boat is covered in white vinyl. It must be some good marine vinyl because I think it may be original and it looks in fairly good shape. The only problems I can see are a few stains here and there collected over the years. Since the boat is getting a new paint job I was hoping I could restore the vinyl top. Has anyone use vinyl paint? Any suggestions to restore my top?
Drew
