Thinning core bond putty?

I used Arjay's 1041 light weight core bonding putty to vacuum bed some Nida-Core. I have a few gaps about 3/16" wide and 1/2" deep. Can these types of putty be thinned out with resin and catalyzed so you can get better flow?

Maybe your laminating resin could be thickened instead to bed the core into, with vacuum I am sure this should work. I was always under the impression that core bonding pastes are often intended for bedding cores with vibrating rollers or similar.
