    wondering if anyone has experience or informed opinion about this woods use in boat building? im considering it for a teak deck substitute.

    Larch and Doug Fir are grown together and mixed when cut and sold as Doug Fir in the west. Very similar wood with larch a little heavier. You should have no problem using it
    for decking. Call the two of them first cousins.
