| Sell all of the aluminum and buy 5/8" exterior plywood. Put 2 coats of exterior house paint on it before you install it. Put on some carpet, and it will last 10 years. This is not rocket science. |

| Thank you all for all of your help and expertise!! Just to let you know, I stayed away from the wood, and added T-6 6061 aluminum U Channels every 7" with stainless steel fasteners!! Thanks again!! |

| I know its not rocket science, but I wanted to get away from wood period, because I dont want to have to replace the floor again in 10 years. And that is exactly what I did with all the great help from here! |

| The "U" channel is exactly the way I would do it. It stiffens up the sole plating, keeps the weight down, but more importantly, permits moisture to naturally drain off (assuming the U is facing down), so corrosion is reduced. Okay, now post some photos, so that others looking to do the same thing will have a clue . . . |
