polyurethane rubber

Was wondering if anyone has heard or used Shore A hardness 50 polyurethane rubber. I found an article on using this rubber for gasket material for livewell hatches. I was looking to see if anyone has used it and or could provide info (suppliers, experience). The article is found at this address http://www.bertram31.com/parts/livewell/index.html It has some pretty good ideas, if your building a livewell or hatches. Any comments would be appreciated...Tried contacting author, no response as of yet....Thanks Jim
