Release is good when sprayed on plastic

idkfa, we have shoot on plastic with good release. I have no experience with Staingurad 6000 but a call to SPI Technical support would be my move.
Aliphatics are to be color stable, but just have not worked with it yet. They are to be expensive.

I am still thinking about this stuff . Could I use it to coat a ply skiff instead of coating with epoxy and glass ? Could it be mixed up and applied with a roller?

Yes, the skiff can be coated with polyurea. There is no polyurea that I know of that can be mixed and rolled. That is not to say that there is not one somewhere out there in the world.
You could ask the question at POLYURA Developement ***.

Many more Job Profiles on SPI & VersaFlex websites.

I have attached several jobs from their web sites and there is lots more on their sites.
Not many on boats but it does show different water usage and chemical containment.

Ace, thanks for posting this! Since we are not in your market area what is the cost expectations to be, say per square foot for small jobs, just material and application as most here would probably do the prep work.

And, so is this the product used for bed liners sprayed in the bed? I'm to understand that the granular texture is added and could be done without it for a smooth surface.

If this can be in colors with a smooth surface, fill 1/8" cracks and can be applied to wood, seems it's a wonder material for a novice boat builder lacking skills with fiberglass.

Lastly, will this cover PVC coatings and materials? Thanks.

Polyurea will not attach to plastic, so it should not attact to PVC.
Cost can only be estimated with detailed info because there is so many aspects go in to it. Surface prep is so important that I as an applicator am not interested in someone else doing it for me - it's my reputation.
Truck Bed polyurea is the lowest cost of all the chemicals I can buy and I think it is the lowest grade spray polyurea. The texture in bed liners is cause by changing the angle of the spray by the applicator.
We do add different material for none skid surfaces but not in Truck Bed Lininers.
There are some polyureas that can be applied with brush or rollers - these would be the ones for a novices to apply.

Yeah Ace, your info on specialist materials is always welcome, especially when you add those useful side notes and performance hints.

Please feel free to keep it coming.

Forfot the color question - Check out VersaFlex. they have the widest color chart that I know of. You can paint over polyurea and we are painting red over black polyurea now. I'll post pictures later.

I visited a company in Ca. that build ship fenders using polyurea and fiberglass. Their polyurea lives in Salt Water and they warrant them for 10 years. their customers are the US Navy and cruse ship companies. This should speak well of their products and their polyurea.

Excuse me, but I think there was a torpedo (Russian I believe} that went significantly faster in an air pocket. ;)
