Painted gellcoat ???

Hello all been on here now and then havent posted much. My question is my boat was originally black gel coat. It was redone in Imron white with some stripes. I wounder what can be used to remove the paint? Is there a paint that will stand up to long periods in the water? The current paint is begining to blister in spots I am open to sugestions. I would like to spend weeks at a time in the water taking cruses and overnighting.
