| As a form of comparison, have a look at the species for a Bob Oram 44-C (size and weight)... Fanie's boat was built along similar ideas I think??? |

| Yes Fanie's boat was built similar but with a high quality closed cell foam = very strong Problem is you end up wasting a **** load of time and energy to save costs on the hull (materials and plans etc.) and then you learn from bitter experience that the hull costs are like 10% of the project - and that is sailaway only with a small outboard. |
