To SGray

Hi there!

It's great to see more and more pople on the forums.
I have been known to ask stupid questions on the forums so ask away :-)
BUT this information can surely be found in the Boatdesign.Net directory.

Search and thou shall find :-)
As for recommended reading on the subject of different hand-layup methods (when it comes to books) I'd be very interrested to hear what other visitors think...

Erik

How many boats will be produced using the mold? 1? 10? more?

There's a nice overview on the John R. Sweet website: see http://www.johnrsweet.com/Mold.html

Just a thought

If you are considering building a number of boats my suggestion is read up on a lot of information regarding production methods.

Have a good designer create the drawings for you. If he's any good he'll include laminate schedules and specify what material to use (normally this is done together with the client AFAIK). If you insist on making the molds yourself do a smaller testboat first to get the feel for it.
