Help Want To Core Floor

I Am Building A Center Console Out Of A 32 Pacemaker.i Have Done This Before Out Of A Chriscraft But Want To Use Light Weight Materials To Keep Weight Down This Time.what Is A Light Strong And Lesser Expensive Core To Use.also What Should It Be Covered With ,mat ,woven,or Anything Else.and Does It Get Glassed The Same On Both Sides.im In Long Island New York And Dont Know Where To Obtain Such Materials.

Core material

I don't know what you consider inexpensive but there is honeycomb at www.mcmastercarr.com that may work. Do a search on honeycomb and see what is there.
