| GRP weight Hello everyone! I wonder if there are some tables, where I can search and find the weight of GRP per square meter (polyester or epoxy) for different fibres. I mean the weight of the fibre and the resin together. I just want to estimate the weight of a hull, which will be constructed from GRP. If someone has some kind of these tables, or can tell me where I can find them, I would really appreciate it!! Thank you. |

| Well actually have them yourself, just do not realise it. For instance, 600GSM CSM ia of course, 600 grams per square centimetre. All you do is add the laminates together that are in the lamination schedule, and that will be the glass weight per metre. The resin is dependant on the ratio of the actual laminator, it is a certain variable. if you consider 50% as the weight required, then the resin will weigh so close to 50% of the cloth weight that it will not matter much for estimation purposes, as resin is about 1kg/litre. Weigh a litre of your favourit resin to get a more exact measurement.
