A lot of european boats come with deck fills that use a winch handle to open them, does anyone know where i can buy these in the US for gasoline for a 1 1/2" hose? Rig rite shows a French one but it is for 2" hose.

Thanks Michael, yeah, thats what i want, ill always be able to find a key. They probably dont import them because they only have half the market to sell to, our ones look exactly like the one on the left. Ill try pompanette, they have a branch here.

    Hi Steve,
You can also try West Marine's online store. Just do a search for "deck fill" and you'll find what you're looking for.

Mike, I just looked on west marine and couldnt find the ones that use a winch handle, just all the usual suspects.

If you can't find what you're after, the regular slotted ones work fine with a large galvanized washer.

They're cheap, you can have several of them hanging around for pennies and you'll never over torque them (unlike with a foot long winch handle in the hands of a novice...).

Its a shame that Plastimo went bankrupt. They had nice winch handle deck fills and other gear common on sailboats.

    Hi Steve,
My mistake I thought you said the one on the "Left" is what you were looking for.

Im not married to the idea, its just that i need 2 fills and knowing they exist i wish we could get them here, im not willing to over pay to imprt them though. Micheal, i was not aware Pompanette was bankrupt, are they out of bussiness or just restructuring?
