finishing cast iron

deeep cast iron keel on Beneteau. What is th ebest way to finish it off?

Sandblast-zinc primer-filler-coal tar epoxy-epoxy-bottom paint

or

Sandblast-zinc primer-filler-flaked epoxy-bottom paint

can you fair coal tar?

need to know...

Sandblast to white, fill with epoxy fairing compound, prime with epoxy and paint
