Peelply is a great surface protector from workshop 'gunge' while the parts are lying around. I think I will take time to wash 'peeled' surfaces prior to re-coating in future, as well as a bit of sanding, on bigger jobs. It really isn't worth the bother of delamination over time.

Sounds wise. If the component is easy to access and there is no worry about contaminating other work ,why not wash ? .. only takes a few minutes, a bristle brush and a handy wet an dry vac.
