anti-friction coating

    3M friction reducer "coating"?

    I´m sure one of the best friction reducer could be this "coating" developed or comercialized by 3M....(I attached some interesting links related to the subject below).

    But the problem is that you probably will leave a "nice" surface for Moss limpets and crustaceans (I´m not sure if those are the right names in english for the species that troubles any boat owner), which will increase substancially, in few days, your friction .
    So I guess that it is a matter of friction reducers Vs. maintenance.
    However, if you can, every day, take out of the waters your boat , then I would use this kind of coatings, if not, I would use the traditional coatings.
