| A boat made of such materials was I suppose never meant to be in the water for any length of time and therefore not on their list of priorities when choosing materials. I don't know. |

| The metal arc spray people claim that they can spray any material - fiberglass, etc, because the hot spray cools so fast, it doesn't destroy the surface. So no idea how well it would stick, but possibly arc sprayed zinc. Alternatively, alcohol wipe + oxidizing the PE with flame allows some things (epoxy, polyurethane) to stick to it. |
