Aluminum windlass protection/refinishing

The expensive part of boatbuilding has caught up with my catamaran project.

I just bought to used Simpson-Lawrence 555 windlass. One is complete and working ... and the other arrived in pieces. Both need to be rebuilt.

The first part I want to attack is the cast aluminum case. I can degrease and sand blast it for free. Then what? Send it out for Hard Anodized coating and a powder coat finish?

I have found a few places reasonably close that do specialized coating. They probably have little experience with coatings destine for salt water environments.

Any one have some advice?

nero, anodising and then powder coating would certainly be a good treatment, i cannot see any way that would in fact be any better.
