| 9 oz kevlar hi i am trying to build a kevlar canoe from the book "building your kevlar canoe" by Moran. This book was published in 1995.it calls for a lay-up which includes 8.9 oz kevlar 50 inches wide- i am not having any luck locating this material all the vendors i have checked seem to stock only up to 5 oz. kevlar. 'the author secifically states not to use lighter than 8.9 oz. kevlar.i assume this book has been widely used to build canoes, and i wonder if anyone has any thoughts about this matter. thanks in advance for your help. -hank- |
