Rybo - Rainbow Runner Molds

I have a customer who owns an older Rybo Runner. He is interested in possibly purchasing the tooling for the boat. Any help in locating the molds and the owners would be helpfull.

Sorry to answer a question with a question, but what happened to the 'new' rybo/rainbowrunner? My last contact with them was in 1999 when Charles Dore sent some things and there seemed to be a lot of enthusiasm for their new hull which incorporated a Harry Schoell step. When exactly did they go out of business and was it economics apart from their actual design or did their design changes not go so smoothly?

I'm not sure when or why they went out of business. I have only seen the one boat. My customer has seen one newer boat with the built in motor bracket. I don't know if anything else is different.
Thanks for any help.

I am looking for whoever has the old Rybovich Rybo Runner 31 molds. I understand that Charles Dore might no longer own them. Can you help?

Thanks,

If you can't find them. I can reverse engineer the boat he has and produce a new set of tooling. I can be reached at amason1866@earthlink.net or 252-482-5930.

In addition to the last message.....the person wanting the tooling must also have rights to the design...if this is not the case I can still help w/new design & tooling creation.

Rybo Runner molds

I had heard that Dusky used the mold for the Dusky 33. I am not sure whether they bought/control the rights or just borrowed it

It is the same hull design but a different set of tooling. I know the person who sold that mold to dusky..... There are I think now 4 or 5 sets of this mold out there.

Those moulds have been around the world and back. If Cal Cannell is still alive in North Palm Beach, give him a call, Cannell Engineering. You can also rummage around Spencer-Rybovich and find out from some of the older ones how to locate him, if still alive. He did all of the machining for the chairs and also contct Murray Brothers. His shop was out west of Riverea Beach. Try Smith boat works also. Call Whitcar boatworks in Stuart Florida. Boating is a big little world.

Do you know who has the 42' Rybo-Runner mold now? I know Ugly Boat laid up one and has it for sale, but he has a proud price on it, but I do not know if he still has the mold.

Rybo Molds

There is a guy on the west coast of Florida who has the original Ryborunner molds. His name is Stanley White and he is building the boat under the name of Ocean Runner 31. He also built the boat as a Rage Runner for a while. I will try to find his contact information.
