I think the autotraderonline.com may be a better place to find a buyer for a car engine.

Well.., you're a longtimer on here and all I want is to partisipate in the forums.
I looked evertwhere to find this engine for a riverboat project I started. because of health, that's down the drain. This would make a good motor for a boat. I thought someone might be building and need a motor/
If there is a rule about what to post and I've broken it, then I appologise. Deleate this whole post if I'm breaking a rule. Sorry, I didn't know

I don't think it is against any rule, but it may be a bit out of place here. Don't delete it, let it fly a bit and see what everybody else thinks. After all, wasn't there a contest recently to see who could come up with the best marine application of a Saab automobile motor?

It was a suggestion for a site where you may make an easier sale. Modifying an automotive engine to marine use is quite expensive. At the very least you need to change the camshaft, cooling system, exhaust system, flywheel and bellhousing. You'll probably ask: why the camshaft? Automotive camshaft are designed to give a torque curve that is not adequate for marine use. A boat is always plowing through the water. It would be the equivalent to a fully loaded car going up a steep hill at wide open throtlle all the time.

m/b motors dont make good marine powerplants

A 5cyl M/b Diesel Makes Power Too High In The Rpm Band To Be Marinized.thats Why Pathfinder Used Vw Diesels.i Do M/b Repair And Have Marinized 5cyl Turbo Diesels.
