| FS: Nantucket Sea Sled (Boston Whaler) molds Greetings: I have two professionally made fiberglass molds which I currently have in storage. The molds are in excellent shape and have mold liners and are partially crated. One mold is for an 8' dinghy and the other for a 12' runabout with a console. Both molds are of the Nantucket Sea Sled type of which Boston Whaler is the best known and may actually have been made by Brunswick. There are patterns included for parts and a mold for a console. If intersted please e-mail me I can arrange to deliver in the US 101 and I5 corridor of California for cost of fuel. |

| Do you own the rights to the molds?

| The Nantucket sea sled is a generic hull type in existence for many years. these molds were made well prior to the anti-splash mold bill and therefore are not registered as required under the bill provisions. I asked the same question when I purchased the molds and I got a similar answer. I can only go back two owners because the second owner back is out of business and can not be found. All I know is that the molds have been very well made and certainly are of the best quality. I called it a Nantucket sea sled type because that would be the best description and the Boston Whaler is a Nantucket sea sled type of hull; I don't know who designed the hull or made the molds. I hope this helps. Best regards, Charles |
