    Car Ferry 80M A50

Speed, economy and reliability, this is what an operator of an A50 vessel can expect.
The A50 measure 80.1 meters in length, and is built to carry 700 passengers and 81 cars, with a top speed of 50 knots it is one of the fastest commercial car ferries of its class. The propulsion package of four Caterpillar or Ruston medium-speed diesel engines rated at 5500kW each keeps running costs low and reliability high.

There are now three sister series vessels operating worldwide. All have proven extremely reliable with
no breakdowns recorded since the first went into operation in 1994. Vessel made further improvements to the next generation of “A” vessels to enhance the already excellent reliability and economic life of the ships.

The vessels has high quality standards, and guarantees high quality aluminum ferry construction second to no other fast ferry in the world.

The A50 vessels are being built and classed to Det Norske Veritas Rules and Regulations and will
conform with the latest IMO High Speed Craft Code and flag requirements of some of the toughest flag
states internationally. Building the A50s to such high standards will allow the vessels to operate more easily under any flag. This flexibility allows the operator to relocate the vessels to other routes that may be subject to seasonal demand. It also minimizes price depreciation due to better re-saleability, which further helps in financing of the vessels. If speed with comfort is essential to your operation, and you are looking for a vessel you can rely upon for trouble free operation, then the A50 vessel is your best solution.
