| 25 ft Catamaran plans for sale. Due to an accident at home I am unable to build or sail boats any more. I have a complete set of Richard Woods 25 ft "Gwahir" plans for sale. I have the designers OK to on-sell the plans as no boat has been built from them. Included is extra information, pics and dwgs, on building in double diagonal or chined planking. Also choice of wooden or alloy crossbeams. An alternate fully battened fathead mainsail plan is included for those wanting to race. The Gwahir was designed to be easily and quickly built, is de-mountable, and since it can be fitted with four berths, galley and toilet, makes for a great fast weekender / cruiser / racer. $200.00 includes P & P.worldwide. | Yep, I've looked at them again yesterday. Diagonal planking, you mean cold molding? And what is the chine??? Couple of months ago I've spend some time researching the topic, read some books etc. My intentions where to find a multihull under 30 ft, trailer/transportable, with accommodations for 2 adults/2 kids for overnight/weekending. I was not sure the "Gwahir" is the right one. It is marketed as a racing cat for experienced sailor. I have an old 23' finkeel that I am sailing/fixing for the last 4 summers plus around the cans crew racing on J/105. Clearly, I can not claim to be an experienced multihull sailor, but I believe I have some experience plus common sense. Then there is the question of actually building one. From what I've found out, cold molding makes a strong light hull, but it is not the fastest, nor the easiest one. I was thinking more about the ply (stitch and glue), strip or foam core. Hughes' ply molding approach got my attention (even got his designs catalog), but I did not see a design I really like. |

| from reading the site, it seems that the biggest difference between the Gwahir and Wizzer is the rig. |

| The size of the rig you put on either is up to you. The real difference between the two is the hull section on the Whizzer which is more complicated and thus must be done in double diagonal or strip planking. Richard said that in racing he never lifted a hull on the Gwahir. You should ask him for his opinion regarding your intended use for the boat. The plans you would be getting cost me $740.00 which I thought was worth it. Only my unfortunate falling down a flight of stone steps prevented me from building it,---- or any other boat now. |

| Buccaneer Plans Sorry to hear about your fall; from what I have read on this site you are no doubt one of the most knowledgeable contributors. Can you let me know if you are still able to supply Buccaneer plans as I am kinda hooked on the design after reading your posts. Thanks |

As I have said before it is not worth producing plans if I can't do a run of minimum five sets at a time. As soon as we have settled into our new house I am going to review the options.
