WANTED... Berkeley jet drive 5j5...

Thought I would throw this out there and see if anyone has a unit for sale. I've been working on a small boat project and need one of these units. If anyone knows the dimensions of a Berkeley jet drive 6ja, please let me know. I may be able to use one of these also. If you have either unit, let me know...

CP Performance bought Berkeley around 1998. Most anyting you want, you can get. At least for the "standard" pumps. Is it one of their tiny pumps you are looking for? They did have some of the little ones, but that was some years ago when I saw them. Not in the catalog, but they might still be sittin' in some dusty corner of the warehouse.

For anything and everything about jetboats.. Here's the guy to ask :http://home.pacbell.net/jmcclure/

Jack McClure is the one. He -might- have one. He has a lot of old stuff.

Hope this helps.

Try Ebay, they go cheap on there, practically free when you compare them with what they cost new. I bought one for $55.00, tho the shipping was high, and I don't even have a boat to put it on, but it went so cheap I couldn't resist. The Berkeley online site has all the specs, I don't remember what it is now tho.

Actually, after looking through my notes, I realized I've already checked contacted CP Performance and they do not have them anymore.... Spoke a few people there and even their tech support. No help....

Mine is a big one, I haven't even taken it out of the box it was sent in yet because I won't be using it anytime soon. It had a 455 Olds hooked to it. I wouldn't want to get rid of it, I plan on building a landing craft and I am going to put it on that with a CAT diesel.

??..I talked to Rick at CP (we were both at the Miami show) right about the day you posted this and he told me that CP has maybe 100 5J units collecting dust in a warehouse. We need two for a scale model project for USN. Did you talk to Rick directly? (CP's Berkeley guru..sorry I cannot recall his last name)

Dont know if you are still looking for one, but I just came across this. Makes me wish I hadn't sold my project boat.
