Hi tio55... I am running an AQ170 which has given me many years of good service... the exhaust manifold (Cast iron) is getting a little tired now though... I am getting it welded at the moment but may need to look at changing it out. If that is the case I may be interested in yours... trouble is I am in Sunny South Africa... if you still have it let me know (therootes@mweb.co.za) and we can take it from there....

Alternatively... have any AQ170 owners found an aftermarket replacement for the exhaust manifold...

look up marine tech of melbourne, australia, they do a stainless manifold for aq 170.

I need 1 Piston for AQ170B B30 Engine.Does anyone Know the bore and Stroke for this engine? It has 280 out drive. would like to switch to 4.3 V6.

jessecro, I have 6aq170a pistons and 6 aq165a pistons, I think aq170 a.b. and c are the same,but you might check . I have lots of aq170/aq165 parts,new on the form. for more info I will give you my email address if it ok to do that on the form

Jessecro, I have tried to e-mail you also and it did not go threw. If you just need one piston like I told you i will give it to you, just pay shipping. I have 6 ea. 170a and6ea. 165a If you want them all I will sell them for $10.00 each, they are in good shape and included is rods and end caps. I also have aq170a and aq165a parts posted on boatingbay.net look under parts and then click on used parts. I just marked some parts down,new oil pump and will pay 1/2 shipping on heavy items, cylinder heads exhaust manifold that require a crate.
